The auditions for The Cutter Theatre production of “A Christmas Carol” have been extended as Director Tara Leininger is looking for people interested in participating. The rehearsal schedule is quite short, there are no lines to memorize, and the two production dates make this a play for anyone who has never been on stage or for those who have experience as an actor. The performance is a “shadowbox” where the actors are in tableau as a narrator reads the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. Needed are 4-8 men, 4-8 women, and 4-8 children (ages 5-15). No physical or character type is needed. The rehearsal schedule is only 6 rehearsals and costume fittings. Actors will perform all the parts of the beloved story, including Scrooge, Tiny Tim, the Cratchet family and the spirits of Christmas. One actor will portray Scrooge, while all other actors will portray multiple roles. The production will be staged on December 6 and 7 during the “Deck The Falls” event in Metaline Falls. If unable to attend an audition time, you can arrange with the director for a meeting.
